Te Akau Ki Papamoa School Part I

We were a little behind the programme for the first pod due to the bad weather and design changes, but we'll pick up time over the next four stages. Our man on the ground, Neil, has been doing a great job working alongside Prendos and keeping on top of trade organisation and client relations.

This school project has had its challenges. Recladding and re-roofing an existing classroom sounds easy but the weather turned against us almost from Day 1.  The lifting of our site accommodation by crane was delayed by two days while we waited for the weather to settle. We also lost a week waiting for the wind to die down before we could install our Shrinkwrap.  Once the wrap was on, the project kicked off in earnest.

We fully encapsulated the building which allowed us to suffer no damage during a horrific windstorm that lifted the scaffold and removed covers from many projects from Tauranga to Auckland.  Our investment in top quality contractors for scaffolding and cover supply paid off and Shrinkforce and Tower Scaffolding must take credit for their quality product and workmanship.

Watch this space as we move into the next stage of the job.
